So last Wednesday, I got a little tickle in my throat. No big deal, right? Coughed on occasion, had a bit of a sniffle - a bit annoying, but bearable, right

*hugs* I'm sorry to hear you're sick. Hopefully you won't be coughing for two months! (And, ugh, don't they give us all the dtap vaccination in grade 5 (or was it grade 9? Grade 5 might have been Hep B) for a reason? :/)

Haha, the "chez le medécin" thing is the same way in Swedish: you say "hos doktorn" not "till doktorn" or "på doktorn".

Yeah, my mum was like "wait, what? You were vaccinated!" (She keeps track of these things better than I do.) According to the note, the doctor said that it's "coqueluche attenuée chez les gens vaccinés", so it's a lesser version found amongst vaccinated people. It could have been worse without the vaccine! D:

Cough medicine

Hey girly,
I've had whooping cough before, but mine lasted a little closer to 6 months than 2 lol. Nothing really worked for me, but if yours isn't terrible you should try out some licorice root tea if you can find it. It helps calm down the throat and alleviate the cough mechanism a bit. If you can find it, let me know if it works :) I always use it here when I get coughs, but I wasn't as well verses in herbal medicine when I was sick as I am now lol.

Aww, thanks for the suggestion! :) I'll keep an eye out for it!

I'm already feeling much better. Apparently I have a lesser version of whooping cough, because I was already vaccinated. :P Hopefully it won't last six months! I'm trying to rest as much as I can...
