Life moves quickly!

Hello everyone! It's such a cliché to say it, but time really does fly! I've been hard at work preparing for and teaching English classes, but this week I had several other things on my mind.

First, on a sad note, I think that for the first November since I started NaNoWriMo, I am not going to make it to 50k. :( I have fallen several days behind, ( Read more... )

Mmm, turkey. I'm glad your thanksgiving dinner turned out well. :)

Ugh, grad school applications. Good luck with those! (As it turns out, I'm probably going to end up working for a year or two before I go to grad school, because there are only about two researchers out there who've done any work with Inari Saami and international fees are expensive...)

I'm actually kind of looking at this program here, in Finland, although teaching English in France is certainly a thought, as well!

Definitely apply to at least one or two schools just for good measure (eggs, basket, etc). Take a look at some of the ones in Canada that have profs working on your specific area :)

Oh man, so much has happened since I wrote this post like two hours ago. ;) I've spoken with more friends who are in grad school, and now I think I'll try to apply for four schools, the U of A included. You're right about eggs in baskets! ;) Thank you for your advice as well!
