Man, reading stuff from the 1830s has really improved my vocabulary. I've been reading things like the 1839 "Report on Indian Affairs" by J.B.Macaulay. most random word ever. It's like fermentation of rice or something--I only know this from my dad (plant pathology). Also, "jasmonic." :P

I've heard of due South. I was under the impression dS fandom was one of the early middle-size flourishing fandoms.

That really is a magnificient beard... I wonder how he managed to eat without getting food all over it? :P

Interesting words... uh... not recently, no. I do have a certain fondness for "sartorial" and "wont" (as in, "to be wont to do something"), though, and will find any excuse to use them...
