And as always, I'm a little bit stunned by the beauty of some of your phrasing. Ten years of corsages and notebook paper love notes and first time fucks in the back of his brother’s truck manages to be simultaneously poetic, eloquent and accurate to Roy, which I would have thought was impossible.
I'm so glad to read such a sensitive and carefully-considered portrait of Roy; thanks for writing it. (I and the other three people that like reading Roy are grateful!)

The whole paragraph about Jim being Robin Hood, but Roy having a right to her -- wow. It's just perfectly said. Of course Roy can't compete with that, and his consciousness of it is so well put.
...his head bent low over her neck as she breathed out a giggle in the shape of his name, Jim -- I can actually picture this giggle. Wonderful.
And just like that, all of a sudden, the world had dissolved around him like that water color painting he’d accidentally spilled beer on once -- Perfect metaphor here! Because his world really was Pam, and even the destruction of the painting wraps around to be his fault, much like the demise of their relationship wasn't helped at all by his frequent disregard for her.
It was the most pathetic excuse for the ruddy rubber tire relationship they’d been thump-thumping around on for five plus years -- Awesome, awesome line.
No, he knew what she’d been playing at, ( ... )

It's hard to imagine Roy making her smile like this, the way Jim did in S2 Yeah, it is, isn't it? But you know I kinda figure that there must have been SOME reason why she stayed with him that long. I think that she changed and he changed and the things that used to be cute and make her smile just didn't anymore.
Thank you so much for the review- it really means a lot!
