LOL I kid. I kid. This was so wonderful. I've totally had that freak out with nature shows. I have seen far too many cute animals meet a grizzly fate. I'm fooled every time. I really loved that Jim was so supportive right off the bat and that he's just so fantastic. And I love neurotic Pam. There's just something so delightful about their spazzy/calm dynamic. I loved the mix of inner thought and dialog and it all flowed so nicely. Great story. Definitely going in my memories. Great job!

Sorry though, didn't mean to ruin that secret for you ;)

But that scene with the ducklings actually came out of the time that I was on an airplane from Seattle, and after the movie they put on the Discovery channel. We were in the front row, so it's not like we could look away, so we were basically forced to watch these little goose-lings chirp helplessly from the mouth of a fox :( I was NOT happy with the airline people.

okay i loved this.

i found out i was pregnant about 3 months ago and during that "dawning on me stage" i too turned into a freak.

i was watching that how they do it show or whatever on the discovery channel and there were hatching chicks being violently seperated from there shells on this gyrating conveyor belt. i was HYSTERICAL by the end of the segment.

so, yeah anyway this fic was really realistic and i could completely see this happening (and wish it would happen) on the show.

I wish it would happen on the show too. But it's always good to hear that I've pulled my stories off realistically :)
