You are too kind. I knew what I wanted to do for this but wasn't quite sure how to go about it, and by the time I figured it out I was already 80+ words over budget. But I'm glad you liked it :D

Kate knocks the punching bag off the hook with a swift roundhouse kick, and she can see Wesley wince out of the corner of her eye. He tries to hide it in a prim cough.

“Well done.”

Sometimes it’s nice, training with just the two of them. She and Buffy get along alright, but they’re certainly not best friends. She gets the feeling the blonde judges her for the jail time and the unflattering mug shots. Not to mention the fact that she’s stomping all over the elder slayer’s turf.

Kate’s grin is open and electric.
