I think Don and Danny's facial expressions made the ep :D

Malcolm Reed is supposed to be from Baton Rouge, LA.

Ah, is that what the accent was? :-)

Apparently so! It did, uh, wander a little ;)

Lol. I think the slipping accent can be part of playing a bad guy. Still, he looked like he had fun playing an axe wielding maniac, that's what counts. ;-)

i really enjoyed this ep - flack'n'danny: comedy double act was lovely to see again :D

i thought mac was great (biased, moi?) although i do take the point that it might be better if done towards his team. i dunno tho, i think he seems more open to his team now than ever before. also i think the device of him bonding with james may be a pre-cursor to the return of reed (next ep i think, or the one after?), especially as mac called him "son" twice.

i can totally see mac as a science buff, btw :)

as for the villain, that accent really was the major downside of the ep, it was all over the shop, i spotted southern drawl, english, irish, scottish, australian and various unspecifieds. mind you he was in holby city so i think that says a lot about his ability to actually act ;)

I loved this is episode too, however I've never really been that fond of Reed, he only ever appears as a damsel in distress so I guess while Mac's actions with James are foreshadowing Reed's reappearance, I'm not looking forward to that. I just think Reed has never been that well written, I've never found him that interesting, however, he has helped Mac's character development, which is something ( ... )

i'm not a major reed fan either, he always comes across as a bit whiney to me, but he really has helped with mac's character development so in that sense i don't mind him being around. hopefully this time he'll be a bit less whiney ( ... )
