Hopefully, he's alright. I think he's alright. He made that 90-days-left post back on July 31st, so that'd have him coming back after 15 months at the end of October. He probably just deleted it himself because he's questioning or just doesn't want to look at, think about or share some of the things he wrote about himself and the war now that he's preparing to return. That makes a hell of a lot more sense to me than if something actually happened to him. Journals get deleted by their owners, LJ just doesn't just delete a journal as soon as something happens to a person.
Well I didn't think that LJ just deleted it. I was assuming either his family deleted it(which doesn't make much sense, because it's a way to remember him), or he got rid of it for personal or security reasons.
Chris's mother was telling me that there were rules about online blogs and journals and how the gov. didn't want any information leaking so the soldiers and marines aren't allowed on certain sites like that. Chris knows more about it.
If you search Mike's last name and "Iraq" in Google News, you get no results for the past month. Had something happened to him in Iraq, it should have been reported.

Still, it's strange. He was keeping lj as sort of a personal account of what was going on with him and trying to keep in touch with people through it.
I don't see why it would be a security problem because he never really gave out any info that was secret. Guess we'll have to wait and see
