for your face issues:

do you wash your brushes regularly? that could easily spread blemishes. also, change your pillowcases often as dirt, oil yuckyness can build up on those!

i have the same kind of face problems as you do. i used to use bare essentuals, but it wasn't providing enough cover up for my acne/scars. i recently started using clinique superfit makeup and i have no complaints. it's ideal for oily skin and i haven't noticed that it's irritated my skin at all.

What would you consider "regular"? I only get around to washing them every few weeks or so.

I've toyed with the idea of just buying a new set, which is probably the better option if mine are contaminated.

i just got MACès brush cleanser and its really quick and easy to use. just pour a few drops on a paper towel, swirl the brushes around for about 30 seconds on the cleanser then move it to a clean and dry section and swirl it some more until its clean. it also sanitizes it

i think ideally your facial makeup brushes should be washed once a week. i just use baby shampoo to clean them

For your hair, you can dilute your shampoo, wash only your roots, try a gentler baby shampoo - you have to find out what works for you. I DEFINITELY know what you mean about needing to wash every 24 hours. No-poo doesn't work for me. I wash only my roots in the morning.

Thanks for the suggestion, I would have never thought of baby shampoo!

Clinique is all very safe and great to use, I have sensitive/oily skin and break out quite easily but their products are great especially their pressed powders.

I use Clinique's oily-skin foundation, I think it's called Superfit. I really like it, it hasn't broken me out at all and makes me skin look nice and glowy.

how oily is your skin? Because I am looking for a better foundation for my very oily skin. Clinique is a lot more expensive than the one I am using though so I want to be sure it's right for my skin.

I have acne prone skin, but it's never really been exacerbated by any makeup I've ever used...except Bare Escentuals. Gross little whiteheads, all over terrible texture. Just an FYI.

I would wait it out. I was battling pretty bad cystic zits from getting off of birth control, and now that I've taking Solodyn and Spironalactone (sp?) since March my skin has improved dramatically.
