lightening hair naturally

i remember reading somewhere that you can use lemon, chamomile tea, and olive oil to lighten your hair. some people mix them, some use just one, some go out in the sun, some use a blow dryer, some leave it for 15 minutes and some leave it for 1 hour. so i'm really confused as to how to go about it exactly... have any of you done it before? how ( Read more... )

I don't have an answer for the method you stated, but I know putting honey in your hair lightens it some. Just mix it with your conditioner, equal parts, & leave it in for a few minutes. Over a few uses, you'll notice your hair is lighter.

I've heard 15 mins with lemon juice will lighten it. But I never tried it. Needless to say I'm afraid of getting it wrong. :)

I got told vodka just today lol! no lie. my friend's sister mixed it with some lemon juice in a spray bottle but supposedly it works on its own just fine too. I'd be like one pump for my hair, one for my mouth...hehe.

I didn't really know either but winged it and it worked. :) For starters, I stopped using my colorsafe shampoo until I liked the color.

I mixed lemons (~3-5) but I have super long hair, and spread it all over my hair. I noticed how drying it was so I sprinkled olive oil in too. Then I just sunscreened it up and sat in the sun for half an hour reading a book. Then afterwards took a shower and deep conditioned my hair, and it was a few shades lighter, enough that I got a comment about it.
