Could makeup sponges cause acne? I don't mean dirty ones I mean clean ones fresh from the bag. They contain silicone right? Because I know silicone in foundations break me out. I'm breaking out along the bottom half of my face right now and the only makeup change I've made in the past month is using a sponge to apply my powder.

Maybe. I'm of the belief that damn near anything can cause, or at least, make acne worse. I have to be careful with makeup sponges b/c I have a latex allergy. If they're clean, I would try not using them for a week (use your fingers or a makeup brush instead) and see how your skin reacts.
