i have very pale olive skin that i think looks beautiful in natural sunlight and horrid (read: green!) in fluorescent lights. most other lights i think i look okay but sunlight is my favorite.

Most fluorescent lights ARE green compared to sunlight, which is why it's normally pretty unflattering light for people. I'm pretty sure you can get bulbs that are color-temperature balanced, but they probably cost more than the normal bulbs.

Most incandescent bulbs are more orangey/red, and sunlight is more blue.

(I mean, all these things look pretty much white to us, but there is a difference in how things look under different types of light due to the lights all having different color temperatures.)

Anyway, for that reason it's always a good idea to think about the lighting you're going to be in when you're considering make up or an outfit. It does you no good to look awesome in natural light and only okay in artificial lights (incandescent or fluorescent mostly) if no one is going to be seeing you in natural light 'cause you're going out at night. :)

That time of day when the sun is setting and it turns everything pink. Then again, EVERYONE looks gorgeous in that lighting, but I think that I especially do.
