Ah, it's okay! All for the sake of science, I suppose. It's never a bad thing to confirm that you're sensitive to certain things. I returned it to the store.
I'm glad you said it worked for you. Now others who read this will have a better idea if it will work for them or not. What kind of skin do you have, and what kind of pimples do you typically use it on?
Anyone who's reading this who doesn't want to scroll back up and see what kind of skin I have, my skin is soft, responds well to/used to natural products, not naturally dry or oily, pretty balanced, and it's unaged, so to speak with the occasional pimple. The product was used on both cystic pimples and a regular pimple.
I have oily and dry (if that makes sense)? skin and the pimples I used it on were ones came I noticed right away or I couldn't get rid of they would rival up right away.
The next day, the pimple had blown up into one of those pus-scabs (the ones that actually make you feel even shittier than having a pimple).
I dont know why but this totally made me LOL. Maybe its because I know how it feels when a minor pimple gets even worse the next day. I hate how every time I have a whitehead and I stay out until midnight with my makeup on it becomes triple the size. ugh!
Argh, I know! Most make-up irritates my skin if I wear it too long, however noncomedogenic the manufacturers claim the product is. Hypoallergenic also means absolutely nothing to my skin. My skin laughs in the face of hypoallergenics.
hah yea i agree about non comedogenic makeup. I still break out too. But what has really helped with the breakouts is a combination of steam room sessions and the clarisonic brush. Every time I break out and I go to the sauna and then wash my face with the clarisonic brush, my breakout is instantly reduced by 50%.
i have pretty sensitive skin and that used to work great for spot treatments. i'd only use it for really big nasty pimples though, since the ingredients are so strong. they'd always look better the next day.
My skin is weird -- it's so well-behaved, but if I get even one pimple, it will turn into something incredibly nasty if I do ANYTHING to it. I've never found an OTC spot treatment that worked for me - they all really, really piss off my pimples. That may be because any acne I get is completely hormonal
( ... )
I have this and I HATE HATE the smell of it. it smells like alcohol and licorice, GROSS. Idk if it really works that well but the smell is so overpowering I dont really like to use it lol!
hey, thanks for the heads up. your skin description as of late sounds a lot like mine. i'm just sticking to keeping my face clean with my cleanser 2x a day and then keeping my hands off my face. i should probably be drinking more water too...
