jeans and boots!

1. For the past two years I've been going crazy trying to find jeans that fit me right. I dropped down from wearing a 6/7 to a 4/5 and now I don't know what size I wear. For trousers I can wear a 2 or 4, but jeans never fit right. Part of it is that I very much have the body of a twelve year old boy! I have no butt whatsoever, and my hips and waist ( Read more... )

1. lolomg i'm the same way, except i'm a 0-2. as far as jeans go, buy them small. if you have the money, go out and buy some J Brands or Paige Premium Denim(they're about $169) but if you aren't lucky enough to have that money onhand right now (as i am- thank you recession for laying me off) go to the mall and try on everything. the trick is, since most womens jeans have stretch in them, you have to be sure that they fit very snug when you buy them. no matter what, they are going to stretch out. it's a fact of life. but, if you buy them a smidgeon smaller, the waist and everything will stretch out and conform to your body just right- just don't wash them as much (you shouldn't be doing this anyway) and put them in the dryer only when they're too stretched out. this works, as this is what people do with raw jeans and after having a brief fling with raw/dry denim, i have realized that it def. applies to regular jeans too. grab your usual size and if they fit fine, grab the size smaller and see how much smaller they are and draw ( ... )

Look for stretch jeans and petite sized junior clothing.

I really love Forever 21's skinny jeans...they have a nice dark rinse too. I usually buy them a little small because they do tend to stretch but not too much and they're totally reasonably priced

Agreed! Forever 21 has tons of options for skinny jeans, and I bought their $12.50 jeans and I've worn them for a year and they haven't stretched out much yet. Their cuts are great for if you don't have curves!

1. I don't think that they're too juvenile for every day wear, but I would not wear them to teach. I have a totally different body type than you, but I would check out Levi's. I just go to Macy's or Dillard's b/c they're inexpensive (under $50 and they have sales often) and have so many fits. They also have them in short sizes which makes me happy. Almost all of my jeans are dark denim, and mostly bootcuts aside from one pair of skinnies. If you don't want them to stretch out, make sure that they're isn't any spandax added. Also, obviously avoid the ones that say "stretch". If you don't mind shelling out the cash, True Religion has a good pair of jeans for flat butt girls (they have a pair for curvy that also I like) - my boss has no hips and flat ass and they work well for her. She also likes Paige Premium denim ( ... )
