Winter boots....

So, what is everyone wearing boot-wise for winter (specifically those who live in bone chillingly cold and rainy places like Scotland)? I need some warm, waterproof, pretty and comfy boots as the weather is getting too bad for the shoes I currently have, I can't feel my toes when I go out due to the cold, and my not-so-appropriate-for-winter ( Read more... )

I don't have any idea. I have like 3 pairs of uggs. They keep my feet warm and toasty and dry but I don't go walking through snow or stay out in rainy whether for long periods of snow. They have waterproof spray you can buy for them.

I'm lusting after Born Persimmon boots - you can treat the leather. They will last forever, and be so so comfy. I'm pinching my pennies! http://www.shoeline.com/asp/dcpItem.asp?style=DW31342&refurl=CNP=KNC-GLX

Ooh, now I want these. I've been looking everywhere for a decent pair of plain, black knee-high boots.

rubber duck snowjoggers

thought - tbh i found that my uggs have kept me warmest even if they are not waterproof. unless you are standing in icy water for like 2 hours the water does not actually soakthrough them to get to your feet.

That is really good to know. I wondered whether they would be too thick in the lining to absorb the rain all the way to your feet. Thanks :D

I go to school in the Pennsylvania snow belt near Lake Erie. I bought this http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/44917999/c/145910.html pair of boots from the North Face last year and they are really good at keeping my feet toasty and dry. I love them! They are also really comfy. I did waterproof them before I wore them to make sure my feet stayed dry.

They are really cute! It seems like any pair I get I will probably be best waterproofing them. Thanks :D

I would really get these if your moving anywhere snowy. It was the best investment that I ever made. I got them last year, and this year they have like 5 other styles and now I want them all!
