Acrylics or Gel nails?

Which are better?

I usually don't get fake nails but this time I gotta (going on vacation).

I don't know what to get. Help?

You will get a difference of opinion on this. Some say gels are healthier for the nails themselves. However I find them too soft and they tend to break easier and get air underneath them. I have had acrylics several times and like them.

Personally i prefer gel nails.
I can't even explain why, i just like them better.
Where are you going to?

I think gel is harder to remove than acrylic, so if you don't want to have them for a long time, go for acrylic.

Is there even a difference??? I know that when they do gel nails they use the same acrylic powder the only difference is after that they add the UV coat and you put your hands underneath the UV light to let them dry. THey also cost more. That being said I like them a lot more than acrylics they felt less fake to me and didn't break as easily.
