hello everyone! I have a quick question..last year I stopped eating meat completely. After I did this I noticed alot of hair loss, alot more than usual (I suppose this is due to a lack of protein). Now I have started eating meat again (and other protein-packed foods) and I was wondering if there is anything I can eat/do that will promote hair ( Read more... )

Everyone here seems to recommend biotin for hair growth, although I have never used it. Simply eating healthy will work all around as well.

My resolution is more exercise and healthier eating (I made a post about it today in here as well). I recently went back into the dating scene and I've always had a poor body image, which affected previous relationships. I don't want to do that again. In addition, I gained a bit of weight over the last few months and I have never done that before, so that also motivates me to change things.

So basically I want to eat better and look hot for guys lol. However my plan isn't drastic, and that's the key! If you say you want to work our 30 mins a day 7 days a week and you're normally a couch potato, you won't stick to it. Same thing if you eat tons of junk and you suddenly switch to a super-strict diet. Small changes! For me, it's choosing yogurt as a snack over a candybar. I take each meal at a time and I do 15 mins on my glider each evening.

just out of curiosity did you eat lots of beans, nuts, and take vitamins while being a vegetarian?

I was veggie for a really long time and it took my body awhile to sort of re-learn how to process the kind of proteins that come from meat. Your hair and nails will probably start filling out soon, just give it time and make sure your diet is balanced, not just protein-filled. A multi-v or biotin probably won't hurt, but a balanced diet should take care of all of the vitamins you need ( ... )

Last comment, I promise. Something to consider about the thickness of your hair or amount of your hair or what have you, it is one of those natural things that you can try to improve on, and can fluctuate a little bit, based on health and diet and lifestyle choices, just like the width of your hips or how tall you are. Be sure that your expectations for your hair are in line with its natural parameters.
