Why I love NYX

I reccommend this stuff all the time, so here's some photo proof of why it's so amazing. Under the cut are post-club pictures. For me that means lots of sweaty--as in mop the face several times through the night sweaty--dancing, plus it started raining en route (about a mile walk in the rain). Ignore the wet hair, I told you I sweated, and I don ( Read more... )

Woohoo! Hottie! Did you use a base?? The right base really makes all the difference!

just shadows and lips. I don't like base, the flash picks up flaws that are baerly visible IRL

how does it feel on your skin? does it make you break out? i really like the makeup, but most of their products have talc as the first ingredient so i'm a bit worried.

it's really light and smooth. I don't have any problems with breaking out from it, but talc has never been a problem for me.

also why is there eyeshadow on your temples...?

It's make-up for going out to the club. I don't see how it's harsh at all considering clubs are dark and a lot of people dress their make-up like this to go out and dance.

To the OP, thank you for the information. I've been eyeing NYX for awhile but eyeshadow seems to melt off my greasy eyelids, this is giving me hope. :)

I was going to say the same thing, dramatic, bold, makeup for going out at night and especially into dark clubs is perfectly alright. And there are lots of people that bring shadow all the way out to the temples when they're doing dramatic makeup...I see runway models with makeup like that all of the time.

Makes great shimmery eyeliner and/or eyeliner.

Kryolan is another favourite....I totally stay away from MAC now...I'm so over it :P

I remember EyeKandy now. I don't use glitter, mica yes, but not glitter glitter. and I don't understand buying glitter that is that expensive-all the craft stuff here is plastic, which makes it safe enough (though probably not reccommended/endorsed by anyone) to use near the eyes.

Kryolan though is amazing, and even better, doesn't test on animals, which is a claim I've not seen from any other theatrical brand.

That's some pretty impressive staying power from an eyeshadow, I'll have to check them out!

I think you have beautiful skin too.
