Contact Lenses

Okay, I know this post doesn't technically fit here, but after checking out eye communities and the like, which are all basically not active or are just about selling weird contacts, this is my last resort. If someone can direct me to a better community or website, I'll just delete the post and be on my merry way ( Read more... )

When that happens to me, I can DEFINITELY feel them even if it's all bunched up in the corner. My aunt who's an eye doctor reassured me that the lens canNOT get into the back of my eye when I first started wearing them. If it's stuck in your eye, it's really annoying. Feels like a scratch against your eye .. you have a hard time blinking/closing your eyes. Just very discomforting in every aspect.

Yeah, they're just dailies. And I don't know much about the eye, but I'm going to assume a contact lense can't go past the... rectus muscle. It kind of looks impossible.

Thanks!

If you had a contact stuck under your lid, you'd be really miserable, because they roll themselves up (assuming you're wearing soft contacts) and there's no way you could miss it.

So, yeah, it's more than likely you took them out.. It's amazing the kinds of things we do on auto-pilot :)

Any time that my contacts have shifted up under my upper eyelid, I've been able to feel that something's not right. I may have to fish around to find it or grab hold of it, but I never question whether or not it's there.

If you can't lift your eyelid high enough, try closing your eye and using your finger to rub at the area above your cornea. You'll feel if it's there and shifting around, even if you couldn't see it when you lifted the lid.

Whenever my contact has gotten pushed around to where it's not supposed to be, I knew because it felt super uncomfortable. If you feel fine odds are you took them out. Although to be on the safe side, when that happens to me to get the contact out just kind of gently rub my finger along my eyelid to get the contact out. You could do that and see if you feel anything shifting around?

Actually, fireyirishangel already suggested that, but yeah. Worth a try.
