So for two years now I've been using sulfates and silicone free shampoo/conditioner, and I'm happy with the health of my hair, but it's gotten so frizzy! It's as if I have an halo of frizz on the top layer of my hair, ugh

I use something called The One And Only. It's basically argan oil in THICK THICK THICK cream form. I like the smell of it and I have vefy nappy hair. I've been wanting to use avocado, but sorta ehh on using food. maybe I'll make it into a cream.... but yeah, it helps tame frizz. lol
If your hair doesn't respond to much other than that cream, it's not terribly likely that avocado will do much. My roommate has thick, coarse, frizzy, kinky/wavy hair that doesn't respond to practically anything. Products like The One and Only which are mostly wax (first three ingredients) tend to do better for her than anything I've thrown at her, which has all been natural. I'm getting some hemp butter in the near-ish future and will have her try that, but short of soaking in oils they just don't leave enough residue or coat the cuticle the right way to get her hair to behave as she likes. Henna does, but she doesn't want to go that route with it, and she dyes it so a cassia treatment is out, too. Of the natural stuff she's used, olive butter and coconut oil are the winners, she's tried my aloe, jojoba, avocado, almond, apricot, olive, and shea. I think shea gives a pretty good result but what I get is inconsistent in texture, some is waxy and some is creamy/sticky so it's not something she'll stick with. I haven't given her

I use Frizz Ease and Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk. Each of them work pretty well separately but together they are amazing. Just a tiny bit of each. I use the Frizz Ease serum while my hair is still dripping and before I get out of the shower, and then the smoothing milk after my hair is only damp.
If you have a keen sense of smell, I have to say you won't like the coconut oil. A few of us on the Natural Living group have a keen sense of smell and after a couple of hours that coconut oil smells rancid and gross. Most people can't smell it (thank goodness) but if your sense of smell is sharp, it's really a nauseating odor.
I use Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil which helps strengthen the hair, smoothes the hair, reduces Frizz and helps prevent further damage, leaves hair healthy, shiny and resilient. I love it 'cause my hair looks so much better and prettier. If you are interested you can check it out at safrons. com where I bought it. Good luck ^_^
Well, I have an argan oil treatment that has worked well so far, Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner (both sulphate, silicon and parabens free) and Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil on its own to tame frizz. They way you use it is you apply the shampoo and conditioner normally for about a week, then you stop using it for 6 weeks, using your regular shampoo and conditioner. Then you use the argan oil shampoo for another week and see the difference :)
