My day job is a makeup artist for a portrait studio, but my career focus is opera.
I use Revlon ColorStay liquid for stage in one shade darker than my normal match.
I would worry that the MUF is too oily for stage....You might try it, but if I remember correctly, it's pretty oily on it's own and then add hot lights to that.
It depends on the show you're doing. A 90 minute straight play is different than a 2-hour musical with dance numbers.
Some actors I work with use Ben Nye or Kryolan. In college, everyone had to. Now working professional theater, I see a good portion of them (maybe 60-70%) use a primer all over, then some combination of drug store & MAC cosmetics- liquid foundation then set with powder- with a sealant over all of it. Kryolan & BN are usually broken out for the special effects, long shows, bright colors, etc.

The only makeup I'll use (plus it never leaves my skin oily!)
