Hello everyone! I was wondering if you guys knew of brands that were really good for very sensitive skin? My skin is very sensitive and i'm afraid of putting something on my face and having a bad breakout, which is what happened to me. It was so bad, my face was red and puffy and my eyelids were itchy and burning. Since then my dermatologist ( Read more... )

I highly recommend Jason Ester-C Skin Care line, I love their products. Do look into them, they have their products at places like Whole Foods and Sprouts.

Also I'd check out Mineral Hygienics if you haven't heard of them. I haven't tried them but my roommate has gotten really into the brand for her sensitive skin and they have vegan foundation and blushes.

lush's angels on bare skin is a very gentle product - if you live near one of the stores you can go in and try a small bit to see if it will cause any negative effects before you buy

Lush is pretty good with samples - ime with crazy sensitive skin, that's the way to go. Sample sample sample. But only one new product at a time, so you know what you're reacting to. It's actually worth the higher cost of places like Sephora with higher end products just because of the ability to sample different things. (I've generally found Sephora assistants to be really understanding about giving tons of samples if they understand you have a specific problem you're looking for a product for, or that makes finding stuff difficult. I have psoriasis and I was looking for a face product with SPF that wasn't a foundation, and I swear I ended up with a least half a dozen little sample pots with plenty to try each one for a few days ( ... )

I'm very allergic to talc and I've been able to use Almay. You might want to check them out. I also use a lot of Bareminerals products.

I do well with Origins, Clinique, and Neutrogena. Lush, too, but you have to be careful because a lot of essential oils and other "natural" ingredients can be hard on sensitive skin.

I have sensitive skin and am very wary of both Neutrogena and Physicians Forumla (both have caused me breakouts). Products I'd recommend:
L'Oreal True Match Foundation
Any Rimmel face makeup
Shishedo
MAC Blushes (but not their foundations or powders)
Sephora Instant Moisturiser
Avene skincare
Cetaphil bar soap
Dove unscented bar soap or body wash
