OH why hello there.

Yesterday, I was at a beauty supply store and saw Adore Brand Demi-Permanent, deposit only hair dye. I decided hey, maybe I could try the ginger color to liven my blonde hair up a bit? BIG MISTAKE! My hair is now orangey-yellow. like neon orangey yellow. and the thing is? this hair color GLUED ITSELF to my hair. I washed my hair ( Read more... )

I don't know if it would work for sure, and I've never used one myself, but maybe you could try a toner? That might make it a bit less yellow/orange and more blonde

it doesn't sound like you know what you're doing... permanent color won't fade in a day no matter how much you wash it- especially with baby shampoo, you should have used clarifying shampoo.

ANYWAYS, this is what I would do: condition like hell for a day and then.....
~either use the haircolor remover if your plan is to try and redye a color right afterwards; your hair will not be a pretty "back to normal" color. I would suggest redying it with a semi/demi-permanent or vegetable-based dye b/c your poor hair can only take so much damage before breaking

~or do the developer/bleach method with kalediscope blue or violet bleach powder (you might have to bleach twice, don't do it for more than 30min/time). Or use regular bleach and a toner afterwards (blue if you're orange, violet for yellow). This method should strip and lighten your hair back to a normal blonde- you can dye over it or leave it but condition like hell afterwards and maybe think about a protein treatment.

No, I do know what I'm doing. I've been doing my own hair with satisfying results for the last 4 years (and I cut/dye my friends' hair as well). The Adore dye I applied is NOT permanent, it's deposit only and it's just a "stain" that is supposed to fade with each wash. I decided to try it on a whim because it wasn't permanent and didn't have any bad stuff in it (no ammonia or anything damaging, actually my hair feels like it's in really good condition) but I am genuinely surprised by how, er, shocking the results are. I just decided to try the Vitamin C/shampoo method/dishwashing soap method because I couldn't get to a drugstore until last night and wanted to try something instead of just doing nothing, lol ( ... )

nods to above- at this point you have spent at least $20 on stuff that you haven't used yet. Return it and find a professional to fix your hair. Or dye it brown.

yup, the best thing to do is go brown until you can afford to see a professional. The amount of time it will take them to fix it is less than the amount of time you'll waste damaging it further.

Putting bleach on already bleached hair is a terrible idea if you don't know what you are doing will likely damage hair further. Running a toner/non bleach color through it will at least make it tolerable until someone who knows what they are doing can fix it.

It reads as though the product is a veggie dye like manic panic, correct? You didn't have to mix anything up, it's just a cream that stains. I have done pretty well with baking soda to lift old manic panic, I use it to prep my hair for dyeing, and after weeks of no color run-off from showering I get color in the water from the baking soda.

Otherwise I think a toner is pretty much it, but strand check everything you do first!

I've used Loreal's remover to fix a screw up twice and it didn't do any damage to my hair.
