Deep-Conditioning For Fine Hair?

I've taken to using Trader Joes' Nourish Spa shampoo and conditioner for my day-to-day washing and have no serious complaints thus far, since my hair does tend to keep a bit more volume for a bit longer into the day, but it leaves my hair a bit drier at the ends than I'm really used to ( Read more... )

My local store sells olive oil deep conditioning treatments. It's really cheap, yet effective. I can't have egg treatments at all since I'm allergic.

If you Google, you can find "recipes" for olive oil treatments, but it's basically warmed up olive oil that you leave in your for a while. The jar stuff is really creamy and smooth, so it's a nicer texture than regular olive oil conditioning, but both do the trick.

Have you thought about coconut oil? I have always had problems with dry hair until I started putting a little coconut oil on the length and ends at night and letting it soak in and it has improved it so much!!! No mess and it smells good!

Another vote for coconut oil! I add a little to a light silicone-free conditioner for use as a deep treatment, this helps it rinse away. Coconut is the oil best absorbed into the hair shaft due to its structure

Coconut oil is great! If you just want something light to lay your hair down and still be presentable in public (CO looks really greasy if I use enough for it to work), a few drops of jojoba oil is also helpful.
