Thank you so much for the info! :D I think I'm pretty much sold on this stuff now- I just need to find the right shade. The nearest Sephora is an hour away from me, so I'm debating on if it's worth taking the risk and just ordering it online.
I've been meaning to get a beauty blender, actually! Two things that have put me off a bit is that I've heard that it soaks up a lot of product and the pink dye (???) from the sponge bleeds off (pink water when washing it). Is this true/a problem?
When I went in that day I had an employee help me find a shade, I'm not very good at choosing them, and I'm #120. Usually I would just pick the lightest shade (bad idea for most brands probably). So if you can swing going to the store, might be a good idea unless you're great at picking shades :)
Seriously I can't say enough good about beauty blenders..I'm shocked and I wish I had found it sooner..been wearing makeup for years and never satisfied with how my foundation looked. The sponge does soak up lots of product, but that's kinda of the good bit about it, because it gives that really soft, airbrush look. It's pretty easy to use (use it damp, by soaking it in a bowl for a few minutes and then squeeze out excess) and clean. I've had no bleeding of the sponge color, mine is the Sonia Kashuk brand (from Target, half the price), so I'd assume the beauty blender brand probably has no bleeding either. I've seen tutorials on youtube too and I've not heard them talk about dye bleeding either. Hope that helps :)
IMO, it doesn't look very natural. It settles into pores, so if that's an issue for you I would opt for another makeup. I have the HD foundation (didn't like how it creased in lines and pores) and the face/body foundation. The face/body pretty much does the same thing. Oh-- and I'm 28, so not a ton of wrinkles/pores but with this makeup they are accentuated.
Hey, just thought I'd reply to this too lol, but I have gigantic pores all over my cheeks, and the hd makeup does not settle into mines, it actually covers them quite well.
I got a sample of it and tried a few times and overall I liked it. I'd say apply it with something other than a brush because when they put it on in the store (with a brush) it really didn't look natural at all, but when I used my fingers the next day I got a nicer look. I really love the concealer and I use it with my bare minerals foundation. If you're looking for a no makeup look, I think the concealer and bare minerals could work. I have pretty minor acne scarring and the concealer works for me to cover up any new redness or breakouts and my unevenness.
I agree with another person in that it's bad for acne-prone skin. I also personally did not like the HD powder because not only was it clogging but also it left my skin feeling and looking cakey

But for setting powder, I LOVE their Super Matte Loose Powder.
I like using a foundation brush because it's less messy and easier to buff.
