Lighten Foundation Shade?

I'm one of those super fair people who can never find the right shade of foundation.  I think I've potentially found a solution in some Bobbi Brown products, however I currently have two bottles (and no receipt) of Clinique's Redness Solutions in Calming Alabaster.  I thought it matched and it's pretty close, but I'll get a look at myself in ( Read more... )

Are you sure they won't let you return it for a lighter shade? Do you have the original packaging? I would at least call the store and find out.

I'm currently using the lightest shade of the actual foundation, which is still too dark. It's close enough that it's not awful, but I'm trying to get the most usage out of what I currently own. I don't have any original packaging or anything that would even hint at a store credit return.

have you tried cover f/x they go super fair and super dark and are meant to cover things like rosacea.... (though not the exact answer to your question it's a GREAT product)

I've seen the product but it always appeared too heavy for me. I have rosacea, but I'm looking for an every day makeup. Cover FX always looked like stage makeup to me - okay from far away under great lighting, but not meant for every day at the cubicle.
