another great series of expressive photography. Nice model, good direction and great perspective. When all elements clicked, it's impossible not to like your work. Keep on shooting, grab whatever opportunities that comes your way. You deserve the chances that comes for the way you have been helping yourself.

Thank you so much BT. I will definitely work hard to be where I want to be. As you said, no one is successful by default. Thank you for always standing by me, I will keep your words and encouragement in mind!

oh and just curious, what made you choose the sigma 30 1.4 over the canon 35 1.4L?

Aww thank you so much sweetie! :)

Oh hon, I didn't buy the Sigma 30! What I usually do is rent lens for my shoot from CRC. I rented the Sigma for 16 days for my entire trip (costs about $170) but it's not my thing. I have tried the Canon 35mm f/1.4L before as well, it's not a bad lens, I'd consider that as an alternative if I were to need a wider angle lens. Meanwhile, a full frame with a 50mm (or approx 28mm on a 1.6x crop sensor) would be just nice. :)

From what I know, sigma 30mm f1.4 is not a bad lens. May I know why is it not your 'thing'? And why would u choose 35mm over 30mm?

I'm not 100% sure about this - correct me if I'm wrong - but the Sigma 30 works like an EF-S lens and therefore would be 30mm on a 1.6x body (plus it cannot be used on a full frame camera). The 35mm is an EF lens, which means it can be used on both an FF camera and a cropped body. Meaning, if I use any camera other than the 5D or the 1D series, the 35mm would be equivalent to (35*1.6) 56mm. Sorry it may seem a bit too mathematical, but that (35mm) or the 28mm (approx 45mm on a 1.6x body) would be just nice. So this is saying that if I continue using my cropped camera.

If I were to be using a full frame, I'd stick to the 50mm or the 85mm (which is almost the equivalent of a 50mm on a 1.6x body = approx 80mm).

Don't know if you'd get this but yeah, the 30mm would have been too wide a lens for my style of photography.

Omg babes, I'm so sorry I can't really help you! I spent most of my time there having photoshoots then shopping, because photography was my priority. But I did go to ximending one night and it was cool. Try googling, maybe that'd help you better! Sorry I can't be of much help, and enjoy yourself! You'll have a great time!
