Why; A very very different role for Meryl. It brought her into the eyes of a "younger" generation.
Though it isn't my favourite, I still think she beautiful and amazing in this film.

Why; They way these three lives are intertwined is incredible. It is so brilliantly written.
Clarissa's story is my favourite. The scene in the kitchen with the eggs is heart-wrenching.
Favourite Scene; The ending, when Richard's mother shows up. Her eyes. They pierce right through you,
hold you so tight you can't look away.

Why; I enjoyed this film. I thought Meryl's character was very funny. it does get very awkward but it's hilarious.
I love when Lisa sees her son and Rafi in the bedding store. Oh man.
Favourite Scene; When Rafi comes over for dinner and she hugs Meryl so tightly that she never wants to let go. ♥

Why; Cute film. She got to sing quite a bit in this film. Plus she's just down right adorable. But the film in general, slightly boring.

She's a bitch but she does it so well. And you can hate her but it doesn't last long.
One of my favourites of hers. It never gets boring. Plus is she is DAMN fine in this film.
Favourite Scene; In Paris, Miranda tells Andrea that she's getting another divorce. This scene is so honest and real.

I knew Meryl would show up and make it better...and she did. I loved Mamie too.

Why; Politics and I don't get along. I loved her "reunion" with Robert Redford though.
I didn't fully understand this film. I take issue with Tom...but I know Meryl was very strong in this film.

Why; This is one of my favourite films in general. I just love it. I can put this film on and I instantly feel better.
It's so heartfelt and wonderful. It was another perfect role for Meryl.
It's more like her in real life than any other role she's done. Her singing is great. She's just brilliant in this film.
Favourite Scene; "Slipping Through My Fingers" & "The Winner Takes It All"

What I want to know, what was her sin? I love the last scene where she breaks. It's so brilliant.
Favourite Scene; The confutation scene. The one tear that just sits
under her eye and doesn't move.My God. AMAZING.

Why; She is so funny and adorable. She plays a chef and its a personal connection with me.
I think this role was a great choice for her. It was relatable in the sense that I am somewhat like
Julie Powell and how she imagines Julia Child, in her head Julia is perfect.
I do the same with the ones I love, Meryl too. I love Meryl's chemistry with Stanley.
They are wonderful together. They fit very well.

Why; I have seen this movie THREE times and I love it more and more every I see it. It is PERFECTION.
Meryl is so beautiful. Funny. Sweet and cute. It is so well written and the cast is so great together. I love it.
I could go on forever about it. It is one of my favourite Meryl films.

Meryl. She is a rare talent. She has this ability to just BE the character on screen. You forget who she's played before and you just see the character on screen. She captures you with a smile, a glance, an accent, a laugh or a tear. You can love her or hate her. It doesn't matter. It's the character she's playing that you feel for. She is amazing.
