Rollercoaster Season - Introduction

It's been a while since I had a themed week, isn't it? Anyhow, with summer coming I thought it might be nice to devote one to rollercoasters, which are something of a personal passion. I rode The Cyclone quite often. They'd have a height requirement for kids and I'd stand on my tip toes so I could ride. The same people that constructed it also made The Giant Dipper, twelve courts down the street from me. It's great fun to ride an old wooden roller coaster. That is just gorgeous. I think there's something special about beachfront coasters, anyway. As you go up the lift hill on the one in the photo all you can see on one side of you is the sea, which is pretty awe-inspiring.

You're right, the ocean causes it to be inspiring. After all these years, I never realized the difference after riding inland roller coasters other that they were just *rides*.

The great thing about beach life is being able to bike rather than drive a car. It's a more natural existence.
