THAT'S where the creepy people wallpaper pix are from! LOL. You're so right, it's a heart-tugger. Disconcertingly honest too, which is one of my favourite things about Mr. Armstrong. :D Merci for sharing.

You're welcome. I love how it ended though, the fact that he summed it by basically saying that he knows he feels like shit now, but it isn't really the end of the world.

Wow I knew he got depressed around that time, but just. Wow. *hugs him*

One thing I love about Billie is his complete honesty. His "No I wanted to do this interview" mentality, so he wasn't covering up the truth with Spackle and happy faces. I mean, you can hear a lot of what he is saying in Insomniac I think (I really like that album BTW.), but it takes guts to say it, many musicians just don't talk about it.

Sorry that was long.

Thanks for posting this, and for the music. it made my day :D.

I hope Billie is really happy now...

You're very welcome. I love insomniac, too. On of my fav Green Day songs is on there (Westbound Sign). Thats one thing about Billie Joe he was brutally honest and thats what I love about him. Although in the past few years he has been honest but in a much more... guarded? - I'm not sure if thats the right word - way.

Wow. Just wow. It's amazing to read the progression in interviews over the years. The one thelackey posted last week from a couple years after this one is so much more hopeful. And the interviews from 2005 complete the picture of an immature boy coming to grips with who he is as a grown man. Gawd, I love him. :-)

Thanks for putting those up.

PS: Macs rule. :-) Let me know if you have any questions.

I remember going through my stuff and coming across it again. I couldn't beleive it was the same Billie Joe we know and love today.
You're very welcome and don't worry, I wont hesitate to ask questions about the Mac. I think I am gonna wait a little longer before I buy it. I have some saving up to do for other stuff =D.

Awesome Laura - I'd never seen that before - what a fascinating interview. And again, I am struck by how hard it must be to live inside Billie Joe's head. He was like such a lost little puppy at that time (albeit a very angry one too!) I'm glad, as revid commented, that you can see the progression in him through interviews, to a place where he seems more reconciled with himself now. *loves him hard*

I love his brutal honesty - there's no bullshit about this guy at all. I have always respected that about him. And it makes me all mushy how he's so clearly in love and dependent on his wife - I always love reading bits where he talks about that relationship.

Plus my ovaries practically explode when he talks about his kids - dad!Billie is really really hot in a bizarre way :)

I have to agree with you on the Dad!Billie thing. My ovaries have a party everytime I hear him talk about his kids. They had a full on rave when I saw the superdome pics XD.

One of my fav Adrienne things is from the 2005 Rolling Stone article where she says something about going back to the hotel and 'doing nothing tonight' and he looks at her addoringly *melts* I duuno why I love that... XD

That musy have been a horribly confusing time for him. You know, not wanting all of this attention and struggling with the fact that he isn't a nobody anymore. But at the same time he wants to do what is best for his band and get his music out there.
