Perhaps you all remember the old days of video games, when a black mage would cast Bio3 on a dragon and all the while save a princess or a city or a world. One might assume the guise of a little boy in a hat saving a princess from Ganon, or a little boy in a baseball cap with psychic powers saving the world from Giyagas, or you could even be a Read more... )

I dont know about San Andreas being a game where you side with the bad guy. He's getting revenge on the people who killed his momma! I didn't think the character was a bad guy, a victim more then anything. I did notice that a few times throughout the game he says no to drugs. Thats gotta count for something right?

I was about to say! And let's not forget that the cops in it are crooked as all hell. Goddamn you, Officer Tenpenny!

The most heinous criminal act in that whole game is the part where you have to set fire to a whole field of kine bud. Sure, I've done that in real life, too, but only in much smaller amounts at any given time.

None the less, he does beat up little old ladies on the street and take their money. Or at he does when I control him.

This, from the makers of Vice City?

Do I at least get to steal cool cars and pimp hos in a fully interactive 3d environment?

No. From what I hear you're not even able to draw blood in it. But you do get to give massive swirlies.

I need a new copy of San Andreas. Somehow I accidently deeply scratched the disc. I was so mad! I just wanted to climb a tower with a sniper rifle! But of course, I couldn't. Oh, brutal irony!

Holy Shit I remember Earthbound. I loved that game.

But I spent about a week killing those golden alien things trying to get Poo's ultimate sword AND NEVER DID.

Oh SNES. I pine for you.

Earthbound, by far, is the greatest game of all time. I was deeply upset when the third in the series (yes, the SNES Earthbound is in fact a sequel to a game previously only available in Japan, now available as a rom, called Earthbound Zero. The one we're used to is known, in the series, as Earthbound Mother) never came out. My dream is that, someday, I will convince Nintendo to make a new Earthbound, written by me.

As I say, www.vimm.net is the nerd's holy grail. Just about every SNES or NES game ever made as a rom, available for free and easy download with no viruses (couple of pop-ups though). Seriously, if I can only impart one thing to you, let it be www.vimm.net, the greatest site in the world.

Also, it's the site for some singer or another. www.manhunt.com is the singer, www.manhunt.net is the cruising.
