Well, I'm glad you're enjoying it! Don't worry, you'll get more! (And unique - or weird - is what I strive for. It makes my life complete. Yes. That's sad.)

I can already tell this is going to be good! Only John can prove a match for Paul, and Richard with his longing over George...can't wait for more! :)

John is going to have way too much fun with this, I can already see it. And the Paul In My Head hates me right now! (And, hey, who wouldn't have a longing for George? Psh.)

Let's start with the obvious:
Paul's obviously Kate, or Katharina if you want to get technical, George is Bianca. Ringo's Lucentio which makes Rory Tranio.
Brian and Pete are Gremio and Hortensio, naturally.
Paul and George's Dad is Baptista.

and I'm willing to bet my firstborn that John is going to be Petruchio.

Hah, well geeking out over Shakespeare aside, I'm excited about this! Shrew is not my favorite Shakespeare by far, but I think you could definitely make it interesting with these characters. I look forward to more.

*Applauds* You win! The only non-obvious one is Stu, who's going to be Grumio - I mean, come on, what fun is Petruchio without a Grumio to beat up, am I right?

I will say, that Shrew isn't my favorite either - though it is up there, over, say, Troilus and Cressida, or God forbid Two Noble Kinsmen - but of all the Shakespeare plays I could translate decently into this sort of thing and it make a little sense, Shrew was my number one choice. I mean, R&J? Done to death. Midsummer? Way, way too many characters (even if I do think Paul would be an awesome Titiana...). I couldn't think of a way to convert Othello or Titus Andronicus into something not totally depressing. But the main reason I picked this one is because I'm actually in it right now, so I'm more familiar with it than I'd like.

Anyway. Long reply is long and I apologize. Glad you like it so far!

....John would be a fantastic, if hilarious, Kate. But I think he would also be a great Petruchio if for NOTHING but the wedding scene. We'll see if he cooperates, I suppose!

Glad you like it so far :)
