Typically, Team George hates Amber while Team John loves her. It's probably because she helped John with Philip/gaining the courage to just go for Paul. If it wasn't for Amber, this story would have been done ten chapters ago when John decided that he only wanted to be friends with Paul.

And not only held his fucking hand, but RIGHT in front of FUCKING GEORGE!

I should probably clear this up. As I imagined it, Paul held John's hands on a sort of 'whim of the moment' thing to help and calm him down. Then of course, things started getting a bit sexual between them. Then, Paul realized that he was holding his hand in public/in front of George, so he quickly retreated. Paul didn't hold his hand PURPOSEFULLY in front of George, it just sort of happened.

So it’s easier for PAUL as well that he’s made a decision

See George and Paul make no sense to me, it's Team John all the way. But I have a sneaky feeling that you're going o pull the rug out from under all of us, and have Paul come to his senses, pull a Kelly Taylor (if anyone recalls that episode of Beverly Hills 90210) and say "I choose me." How else will he preserve the band?

Plus I can't see how Paul is going to feel anything but played and manipulated by all three of this supposed friends when he finds out this whole thing started with a bet.

Ah yes. Preserving the band is a HUGE deal to Paul (which may or may not have influenced his decision to choose John). I guess you'll just have to see how this will all play out later. :D
