-be more selfish
-be less negative

The two things my dad and mom brought to my attention. They could have a point.

the words have been spoken,
she cannot be penetrated,
he is that album on repeat,
he gets her,
he makes her loudly laugh,
she doesn't have to pretend,
every moment is real,
there is nothing to hide,
to trust, to hold, to care.

My mind is getting the best of me. Some would say it's my heart that is getting the best of me. But I know very well that my heart does little more than pump blood through my veins. It cannot get the best of me.

I will not let my mind do this to me.
