I really like the realistic way you're handling this. Most people would just write that they flushed the drugs and every thing would be honky dory. It's not like they could check Sam into a rehab and the truest statement in the entire story is how dangerous the withdrawal off of heroin can be.

For that reason, among the interesting plot and great writing, is why I like this story so much.

Aww thanks! I had to do reasearch for this one...

realistically, when coming off of heroin, there are drugs that doctors can perscribe...but I knew they wouldn't go to docs. I had to write it the old fashioned way!

My heart sank in my chest when John opened the door.
He seems to be taking the news pretty well. I thought someone was getting a beat up for sure, or at least yelled at.
I'm happy that Papa John took the more mature route instead.
Can't wait to see what he wants to tell the boys.
