Application: THEME: Late Beatles Songs

A NOTE TO VOTERS: This is a beatle_stamp themed application! Please stamp as any song by the The Beatles from 1966-1970. This includes all the songs from Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, and Let It Be, as well as any of their singles from this time period.

01. Name: Emily, or Em. Or whatever.
02. Age: Fourteen!
03. Which Beatle are you stamped as? George. :]

04. What is your favorite album of this period (Revolver through Let It Be) and why? A dead tie between Revolver and Abbey Road. Revolver is the start of their experiments, and all the song just seem to... fit with me, so to speak. And Abbey Road is the only album I have ever listened to and been completely blown away by.
05. Do you prefer more John, Paul, George, or Ringo songs? Although George's songs are, quite frankly, the shiz, I'm a total sucker for Lennon/McCartney.
06. What do you think of the Beatles’ solo careers? Some of them are awesome, some are ehh. But they were all pretty awesome in the beginning.

07. Do you prefer faster or slower songs? Depends on what I'm in the mood for.
08. Do you like more experimental songs or tradition rock songs? Maybe a mix of both? D: -indecisive-
09. Do you like songs about personal love and loss, or songs with broader themes? Songs with a broader theme, basically. But it usually just depends on my mood.
10. Do you prefer songs with an uplifting message or sadder songs? Again, it depends on my mood.
11. Do you like songs the tell more of a third person story or a more personal first person song? Hmm. I do love a good first-person, but I'm a total sucker for ballads and stories in third person. So, um, both? D:
12. Name some characteristics of your favorite songs (i.e. sad, dancy, ballad, simple, experimental etc.): Simple, upbeat, somewhat pessimistic, experimental. Pianos are definitely a plus.

13. Pick any quote or lyric (of any song, not just Beatles) that really defines you: Let's go with "Trying To Lose My Mind" by Matt Costa.

"I talk with my friend over the phone,
I'm scared to say things I don't know and be wrong,
And words always sound much better coming out of someone else
But put it in a song and know that we can get along"

I'm always afraid of being totally wrong and not knowing anything; I literally cannot explain how much I hate that feeling. I'm not one to step up and say things as they are, either. I'd rather make it nice and subtle, like in a song.

14. What kind of messages are important to you? Something that makes you want to get out there and do something.
15. What five things in life could you not live without? (not literally!) Music, family, friends, God, aaaaand oxygen.
16. Are you a romantic or cynic? Cynic, definitely.
17. If you could write a song that the whole world would listen to, what would it sound like and what would it say? It would point out the mistakes society's sung in an overly and bitterly sarcastic tone. And tell them how to fix all the problems, of course: stop what you're doing for a few minutes and think about it.

And nothing to get hung about
