I can't decide if I want to laugh or feel bad about the recent news concerning (hopefully soon to be ex) Gov. Sanford's affair with some Argentinean woman. And I really enjoyed reading this entry. I think I agree with you. Images make things more real for us, even though words have a lot of power.

No problem, I really enjoyed it too. I read it while huddled in the same room as my sleeping sister so I was all curled up in bed reading it with my cell phone light...making myself even more blind, hahaha

yeah, from what I know, behavior like that isn't passed on through genes, it's passed on through behavior learned as being "sucessful"

I think its purpose is instead to put a face to the intangible complexity of it, make it hit home harder, make us care in the first place.

Yeap, that was the basic point of the article. Plus society changes so fast that the aspects of genetics that do have to do with it can hardly be blanket-statemented to the whole human race.
