On Books

It is so strange to read a book and then realize, in the middle of it, that the person you are reading about, if not for the name, is you. To be able to look at yourself from the perspective of the third person, and see the silly insecurities and subtleties of manner that would otherwise seem so dumb, if only that person wasn't YOU, it's a feeling ( Read more... )

Hey--not sure who this is, but thanks! If you mean that my writing resembles the style of Sittenfeld in this particular entry, that's probably the case. I tend to be EXTREMELY influenced by whatever book I happened to have read if I write directly after reading it.

I guess it's the mood/feeling that the book has over me, but yeah, that's normally the case, hahahaha. I don't mean to do it on purpose, but my mind's usually still on "book!tone-mode" so I end up writing in a style similar to that of the author.(:

If you're referring to my life imitating the author...I'd like to say it was true, but sadly enough I really am that insecure and nutty sometimes :P
