I just saw the movie Downfall at the Belcourt. My friends and I were the last ones to leave even though it was almost 1:00am. I just sat there, staring at the screen. Not even thinking about the movie really. Maybe I was thinking about the fifty million dead. it's a bad idea, but whateves!

my mom always tells me when i'm feeling like i am not doing enough to remember that i have a lifelong dedication to social change. if you have a lifelong dedication to social change/justice, you know that what you're doing right now isn't all you're going to do.

my love to you is this: YOU ARE CHANGING THINGS ALL THE TIME. YOU ARE AN AMAZING ACTIVIST AND AN AMAZING PERSON.

Why did you decide to become vegan?

Vegan because i care about life and the preservation of it. Vegan because it's hypotrical to be vegetarian and not vegan for my reasons. because if i decide to live a cruelity free life style than veganism is a component. Vegan because if i am an advocate for the liberation of animals and the rights of living creatures than to continue to comsume goods that are derived from inhumane and cruel means is hypotrical. Vegan because animals are more to me than a produciton rate. Vegan because i am against totalitarian agriculture and I REFUSE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE PROBLEM.

I dated a vegan. It sucked. I was vegetarian for about a year until I got tired of it. Even Native Americans eat meat. I refuse to deny my biology. I've got incisors in my mouth for a reason. My deal is that I could see myself eating meat if I knew the animal I was eating had a real life and walked around and everything before it was killed. I'm strongly against factory farming and if I wasn't dirt poor I'd make sure every single ounce of meat that made its way into my stomach was farm raised. If I was rich and could afford to I would hunt all my own meat. But I can't so I have to deal with what I have.
