Oh I'm sure they're very much all the rage where you're from, which I'm assuming is some urban sprawl that believes denim jeans are the height of couture.
Don't be offended by my frank analysis, but you simply CANNOT take Cara out wearing clothes that look like they were bought second hand and in a size far too big for you. You are YOUNG and full of...ah...charm. You need to look sleek, intelligent and dashing! Then she's sure to forgive you!

Gentlemen wear suits, Skulls. It shows that they are well breed and proper, learned and knowable. Or in your case, that they are capable of faking it for one evening. You wear them on dates to impress the girl you are trying to woo! Of course they're stuffy! They're to prevent the boy from trying too much and the girl from making a quick a getaway--you can't run in heels you know!
Now, I think you'd look very handsome in a blue suit, maybe light pinstripes with a emerald tie--that's very playful and says "I am daring!" without being too immodest.
