Oh lord. I picked the wrong week to go off my head meds! I seem to always be touched more emotionally by sad stories about animals than I am humans (which I guess isn't good, when I think about it). That was a doozy.

I'm the same way about animals vs. people. I guess what really hit me so hard about this story was the way it really made so clear the bond between the two of them and how heartbreaking it can be to have nothing and still lose everything.

It was a doozy huh? Glad to know I'm not the only one getting weepy at my desk this morning.

So sad. Just goes to show you the power of pets. And that pit bulls can be sweet if treated correctly. My partner was attacked by one that jumped out of a moving truck, protecting his dog. Long story that may get into LJ at some point.

Been attacked by a few dogs myself. I don't blame them. It's the asshole owners who let them get to that point that I can't abide.
