I admit I rarely post here any more. I miss being part of the LJ community (as it was, say, circa 2006), but I guess I only really have myself to blame for transplanting my online "journaling" experience from the deep thoughtfulness of LJ to the shallow instant gratification of FB. 1994 was a pivotal year for me in many ways, too. I'll post about those later.

Nice post there Chip. In 1994, I was merely a student at Seattle Central CC in their video program, and about to move into a very funky SRO apartment just blocks from it.
I ended up moving home 6 months later when no jobs came through to work around my school schedule (evenings). My moving back home was also motivated by Mom having gone through Chemo for cancer in her maximus sinus that spring/summer. She would survive that however.
However, that was small potatoes to what would happen in 1998 when Dad died, 2001 when I came out, and later in 2012 when Mom passed away,
Glad you and John are still hanging in there.

I'm about to take a deep breath and move back to Texas to reclaim my life. You've written about 1994 and your loss. 1994 was the beginning of a fertile period for me professionally, too. I joined "Phantom" in 1994 and spent the next four years of my life in that show. It took my career to the next level. I was 40. Now, I'm 60. Who knows what's next?
May your birthday be filled with joy and celebration, my friend! Remember, you are always in my heart, thoughts and prayers ...
HUGS!
