Garden - the frost has hit and I'm in the process of cutting back the stems of the dead plants. I'm always relieved when the frost kills them for me, hate killing plants ( Read more... )

I know what you mean about the plants....they were yoinking something off the Seattle Center grounds, as I came into work, yesterday.
I keep wanting to ask if we can dig stuff up, to try to over-winter it in our gardens at home, instead of the mulch-pile here!

I had a neighbour who used to try and transplant some of her plants indoors before frost, but they often fail to thrive indoors.

Yeah....I used to take coleus snippings, to root over the winter, and they let the day lilies go to seed. I'm scattering the seeds on my front embankment!

Are you guys thinking of heading to Hamilton this Sunday for the Bear Meat @ The Werx? I maybe heading that way.

Thanks, we will enjoy ourselves I'm sure.

We we're actually away this weekend and so not around for the bear thing. But we'll be there other times.
