The caboose excursion sounds nice and cathartic for you and the family! Cudos to your cousin for thinking of it!

Funerals are such odd things. There was a flea market going on in the parking lot, during my father's, (they were his obsession, when he retired) and that news cheered up my mother, visibly, when I told her. She was wheelchair bound, and went in the front way, and hadn't seen it.

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother's passing. It's good that there were some happy memories as well.
