Eastern NC barbecue is the best thing ever! Especially when accompanied by good cornbread and sweet tea!

Hmmmmm....maybe it's time for a road trip to NC in the new PagerCamry. The PagerParents were asking when I was coming for a visit.

It can be hard to find Eastern NC barbecue that far west; glad you got to sample it. Do you remember the name of the restaurant?

The place was called "Harper's" and was part of a local chain. They had Western or eastern NC barbecue on the menu.

The last time I was in Lubbock, Arne and I went to the big supermarket on the edge of town (the one that has Dare Maple Creme cookies from St. Catherine's - but no Kraft Peanut Butter...) on the first day I was there and the last day I was there.

The clerk at the checkout asked when I was heading back to Ontario. I asked him how he knew, assuming it was an accent thing.

No - he just remembered me mentioning it almost a week earlier. I'd like to think I was memorable, but I think it far more likely that His Hugeness of 6'7" is a tad more brain-imprinted...
