Testing the "Facebook Connect" function to see if LiveJournal updates Facebook properly.

Yes - I'm over there, because it updates so easily when I'm mobile. The trouble is that you can't really do talk about anything substantive over there, and there's been so much happening (some good, some not so good) - I have a big journal entry coming.

You send updates to lj via email from your handset. You can even add a picture by doing it via flikr. Much better than silly old fb and not that tricky.

Tim: I'm trying to update LiveJournal and have it automatically update Facebook, so that I can write LiveJournal commentaries like I used to, and have people on both LiveJournal and Facebook read it. I miss writing in my old prose - the 420 character limits for status updates don't really cut it that much for exploring an issue.

Sorry, clearly I'm not on the ball!

I'm on the verge of ditching fb though, I'm finding it distinctly underwhelming.

What you post on LJ doesn't appear on FB. What shows up on FB is a notice and a link that you posted a comment here on LJ. It's a lot better than having to "cut down" a long post to make it fit on FB.

You might want to check out http://bearbook.com/tour I'm going to give it a whirl once it comes online. I'll probably dump FB except to check up on friends who are exclusively FB.
