I think the sleep I got last night was some of the best sleep I've gotten in quite a while. It was very premium-grade sleep. I think I hit the perfect combination of temperature, blanket load, sheet crispness, pillow resilience and air circulation.
I could use more nights of sleep like that.

My optimal temperature is somewhere around 62F in the winter with a heavy blanket mass. I've got a thin fleece blanket that provides most of my insulation with a big heavy afghan on top to make it feel like the fleece is doing something.
Also important is to reserve some cold spots on the mattress so you can find them later on.
