a drabble for you
I hope you and your family are well, sweetie, and your little girl is having a splendid welcome.
Here's a little Garden of Eden drabble. In which Aziraphale is having a Cute Overload moment. More later but this one just hit me. Please forgive me. :)
“Oh, aren’t you darling!” No one in earshot understood language--few in the Garden would yet.
Aziraphale was oblivious. One of the tiny wriggling creatures (no larger than the smallest curled lock of his hair) ventured its head onto his fingertip and gave him the eensiest of hisses. Its nest of new-hatched siblings regarded him a little more boldly. “Aren’t you so wee and brave!”
Wondrous, he thought.
Mum was leaving, her job done. Her brood would be fine here….still…their already-half-forgotten father had done that same odd thing with his mouth, and hadn’t been much at ease around angels either.
