Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea would be my PJ Harvey top album, although Dry and To Bring you my love aren't far behind. Oooh, other top albums...it's hard, I'm such a plebe... Definitely Jim Moray's Sweet England, I feel like I am falling in love with that album, every time I listen I think it's better. Giant Steps without a doubt, Mr. Dylan but I'm not sure what album. Yes, I am surprised by your APhex Twin love, but I have never given them a lot of time, so I don't know whether I should reconsider. Hmmm, I will have to work on this and make a post all of my very own, because you KNOW how hard it is to have a top 10 albums. Are they your desert island records, or would those be different? Love N.
Desert Island Discs i guess must be slightly different to Top 10, although pinning down why is tough... I guess albums you love and think are brilliant is not necessarily the same as ones you would want to spend the rest of your life with. Revolver is actually a classic example of this- Top 10 due to impact and stylings for the future, but not one to be stuck with. Similarly would be 'Relationship of Command' by At The Drive-In- just tooooo intense, but fabbo album!
On a different note entirely, how come you know so many people on Livejournal? Did you randomly post stuff on communities and get responses (the ones i have looked at so far look pretty sad...) or did you already know people?
Some people I already knew firekitten, akaliko (and the other wissers), jennaflower, Matt, curiouserg, cabd, elliphant; and then I read their friends pages to see if there were interesting people there, so from firekitten I met puddingcat online, and we got on really well, whereas I met professoryaffle and rms at a party for firekittenEnidwillyblyton friended me randomly, and then so did badasstronaut, and we played silly word games and chatted, so from them I met miss_jen, dansette and crunchcandy, except we all actually met in London
