Doh! It looks like the sort of event I would enjoy! But I'll be in C-U.

That said, I'm in the throes of our Renaissance Festival, which is what passes as a Real Job for me right now... (it's helping our budget by keeping our financial noses above water...while paddling furiously and me seeking any kind of paying employment). I work for a jeweler that has been a friend since ... urm, cough, cough, a long time now... and now lives in Tabernash, CO with a real jewelry store in Winter Park. I love his stuff and am a good sales person for it.

On the other hand, the publisher, Hadley Rille Press has an anthology, Renaissance Festival Tales, with my story, "Playing with Fire" is being sold there, he had a tent booth the second week, was in the guest artist booth the third week, and they offered a regular booth for the rest of the festival (it was an unoccupied booth near the main drag and front gate).

I want a Kettenkrad like a burning in my brain now.

All of us feel that way when first we encounter the Kettenkrad. You are perfectly normal.

The Kettenkrad looks extremely cool and I definitely need one, right after I get one of those amphibious Volkswagens.

It must've been tempting to sit on that kettenkrad and take it for a spin; those look like a lot of fun to drive.

My dad drove a halftrack in the Battle of the Bulge.
